He was born on Thursday 20 August 1857 at Ban Rua Yai Village, Bang Pa In District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. At the age of 16, he was ordained as a novice and then studied Dhamma with Phra Yahorathibodi (Bua). In 1877, he was ordained as a monk at Kamphaeng Temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province where Phra Palat Phun was the preceptor. Later, he studied Phra Pariyattidhamma at Mahathat Yuwarat Rangsarit Temple until achieving Level 7 of the Pali Scholar program. In 1900, King Rama V invited him to administrate Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram Temple. He passed away on 11 October 1928 at the age of 71, having spent 51 years in the monkhood.
